Refunds and cancellation
When money comes back, when it does not, and how to ask.
Last updated 12 August 2026.
The short version
There is a 14-day free trial and it needs no card, so nobody should ever pay for PileProof without having used it first. That is the main protection against wanting a refund at all.
If you are inside your first 30 days of paying and PileProof is not what you expected, write to info@pileproof.com and we will refund that payment in full. No form, no argument.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from the billing screen in Settings. Your subscription stops renewing and you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
We do not refund part-months by default. If you cancel two days into a month, that month runs out rather than being refunded pro rata.
Cancelling never removes your records. Reading, reporting and exporting keep working, including the audit binder and every certificate you have generated. We do not hold compliance data hostage to a payment.
When we refund beyond that
If PileProof was unavailable for a sustained period and it cost you a working day, tell us and we will put it right.
If you were charged after cancelling, or charged twice, that is our mistake and we refund it immediately.
If something went genuinely wrong, write to us. We would rather sort it out than argue about it.
How to ask
Email info@pileproof.com from the address on the account, and say which payment you mean. You will get a reply from a person, not a ticket queue.
Refunds go back to the card that paid, and usually appear within five to ten working days depending on your bank.
Payments are processed by our payment provider, who is the merchant of record. A refund we approve is issued through them, and their receipt is the one your bank will show.
